Amsterdam, 6 May 2025 – Corum Eurion SCPI has purchased the Martinez tower with a total area of 20,204 m² located at Mandelaplein 1 in Almere.
The Martinez Tower in Almere is located in the middle of the city center, right next to the central station. In 2018 the former office building was transformed by the owner - under asset management of DutchRE Investment Management - into a multifunctional complex. The building currently consists of a hotel with 222 rooms, 141 short-stay apartments, a restaurant and 2,351 m² of office space. In 2019 extra facilities were added, including a swimming pool on the fifth floor and a spacious rooftop terrace.
Users of the building include the German Plaza Hotel Group, office landlord Regus, and the well-known Dutch restaurant chain Loetje, which was realized as the first location in Almere at the time.
Lennart Bouman, Managing Director at DutchRE Investment Management, was involved from the start in the entire transformation process:
"We have deliberately exploited the potential of this location at the time by redeveloping the building into a high-quality, multifunctional destination. The combination of hotel, short-stay, office and catering ensures a lively building that is in use 24/7.
DutchRE Investment Management was as asset manager responsible for the entire redevelopment process and for commercial management during operation. This active role resulted in a long-term occupation by strong tenants and a successful sale.
"This project demonstrates what DutchRE stands for: combining market knowledge, hands-on involvement and strategic asset management to create long-term value for our clients," said Lennart Bouman Managing Director DutchRE Investment Management.
The buyer, Corum Eurion SCPI, was legally advised by DLA Piper and technically by Arcadis. The seller was legally advised by Houthoff and commercially assisted by BNP Paribas Real Estate Nederland. DutchRE acted as asset manager on behalf of the owner throughout the entire process.
